CYDPAN organized a one-day focused group discussion for community men in Okobo L. G. A.
At the End of the discussion, CDYPAN was able to:
1 Understand men’s perspectives on GBV providing insights into their beliefs, attitudes, and knowledge.
2. Identifying triggers for certain behaviors.
3. Explore their cultural Norms and societal expectations.
4. Assess the level of awareness and knowledge about GBV among men.
5 Engaged men in discussions that challenged traditional gender stereotypes, and how to promote more equitable relationships.
6 . Create a community committee on GBV.
7. Listened to Personal stories and experiences on GBV, questions, contributions, and concerns
8. Educate the men on VAPP Law.
The focused group discussion with Okobo men provided a valuable platform for collaborative efforts to combat GBV by addressing its root causes and promoting a more inclusive and respectful society.
